The ULN2001 series is a monolithic integrated high-voltage, high-current Darlington array. Each output consists of a single Darlington transistor with a common emitter. Internally, each Darlington has a series base resistor and a clamp diode for transient suppression. The ULN2001 can be used for relay drivers, hammer drivers, lamp drivers, display drivers (LED), stepper motor drivers, and logic buffers. Each output can handle 500mA and parallel outputs can be used for higher current capability. The series base resistor allows direct connection to TTL/CMOS circuits at 5V.
